Manisha: Tollywood bound

Tollywood’s ace director Anjan Choudhury definitely has a reason to celebrate. After the superhit success of his Poila Baisakh release Bangali Babu, Choudhury is looking forward to yet another new venture.
This time with a Bollywood beauty in mind, Anjan Choudhury is sure to hit the jackpot one more time. No one else but Mani Ratnam’s favourite Manisha Koirala will soon star in the lead role for Choudhury’s next flick.
“Manisha has expressed her desire to do Bengali films and I am lucky that she will be doing the first one with me,� informed Choudhury.
The Bollywood beauty has expressed her desire to do Choudhury’s film and will be soon in town for the shooting.
“The film will be based on a girl’s life story and will be probably called Aparajita. Manisha is a brilliant actress and she will do justice to this role,� said Choudhury. Shootings for this film will begin from September and will be over in a month’s time.
“Rahul Barua who has produced a number of Shyam Benegal films contacted me for this particular project. I have just finished my meeting with him and things have been finalised,� Choudhury said.
Although the rest of the cast have not yet been decided, but Choudhury does not want any other Bollywood star in the movie. “Except Manisha, the other stars of this film will all be from Tollywood,� he added.
